Refund Policy

Last updated: 14 July 2026

Ayako’s subscription payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, our payment provider and merchant of record. Because Paddle is the seller of record for every transaction, refund requests are handled directly by Paddle under Paddle’s own Refund Policy — not by Ayako. This page explains what that means for you in practice.

1. How to request a refund

To request a refund or withdraw from a purchase, use one of these (all go to Paddle, not Ayako):

  • The “View receipt” or “Manage subscription” link in your payment confirmation email.
  • The “Request refund” option at paddle.net.

2. What to expect

Ayako is offered to businesses and professionals only (Terms of Service Section 2) — by subscribing, you’ve confirmed you’re acting in a business capacity, not as a consumer. Consistent with standard practice for B2B software subscriptions, and with Paddle’s own policy:

  • Transactions are generally non-refundable once payment has been made.
  • Paddle may, at its sole discretion, approve a refund request submitted within 14 days of the transaction date. Each request is reviewed case by case; submitting one within 14 days does not guarantee approval.
  • If you experience a persistent technical issue or material defect that prevents you from using the Service as described, contact us first at hello@ayako.io so we can try to fix it directly. If that doesn’t resolve things, Paddle will review a refund in line with its policy once you’ve told them what happened and what we said.

3. Statutory withdrawal rights (where they apply)

If, despite the above, you qualify as a consumer under the mandatory law of your country of residence (see Terms of Service Section 11), you may have a statutory right to withdraw that overrides the discretionary terms above — for example, a 14-day right to withdraw from the first payment of a subscription under EU/EEA/Swiss/UK consumer law. This does not extend to later renewal payments, and the exact rule varies by country. Paddle’s own Refund Policy sets out the current country-by-country detail and is what actually governs any such request, since Paddle is the party that processes it.

4. Cancellation is separate from a refund

Cancelling your subscription (Terms of Service Section 3.4) stops future renewals — it does not, by itself, refund a payment already made for the current billing period. You keep full access through the end of the period you’ve already paid for either way.

5. Chargebacks

Please contact us at hello@ayako.io or Paddle before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer — initiating one may result in your access being temporarily suspended while the matter is reviewed. This doesn’t affect any lawful right you have to dispute a charge.

6. Contact

Questions about a specific Ayako feature or issue: hello@ayako.io. To actually request or check the status of a refund: paddle.net (Paddle handles this directly, as the merchant of record for your payment).

This Policy is a summary for convenience. Paddle’s own Refund Policy governs the actual refund process and takes precedence if the two ever conflict — see paddle.com/legal/refund-policy.
